An early morning pick up from your accommodation to head East to the Wetland or Dry Savannah regions, these locations are 1 hour East of Darwin. We have two options depending on the target species, we can either concentrate our search around the wetlands of Fogg Dam for species like Rainbow Pitta, Black-necked Stork, Paperbark Flycatcher, Rose Crowned Fruit-Dove, White-bellied Sea Eagle, Azure and Little Kingfishers or head toward the Dry Savannah areas for species like Black-breasted Buzzard, Buff-sided Robin & the highly prized Gouldian Finch.

Lunch is included at one of Darwin's best cafes where they can cater for all tastes

We spend the afternoon around Darwin searching for some of it's unique bird life in a range of habitats; Mangroves, Seasonal Wetlands, Monsoon Forest, Beaches, Savannah Woodlands and Billabongs.

Each day trip can be tailored to find the birds you need to tick or photograph.

Target Species - Emerald Dove, Rose-crowned Fruit-Dove, Red-tailed Black Cockatoo, Rufous Owl, Azure Kingfisher, Little Kingfisher, Rainbow Pitta, Green-backed Gerygone, Red-headed Honeyeater, Grey Whistler, Mangrove Robin, Long-tailed Finch, Masked Finch & Chestnut-breasted Mannikin, Black-breasted Buzzard, Spotted Harrier, Wedge-tailed Eagle, Black-necked Stork, Red-tailed Black Cockatoo, Red-winged Parrot, Northern Rosella, Black-tailed Treecreeper, White-throated Gerygone, Banded Honeyeater, Mangrove Golden-whistler, Buff-sided Robin, Double-barred Finch, Long-tailed Finch, Masked Finch and Gouldian Finch.
